Feb 2, 2017 – After conquering Johnson Falls the day before (see last post http://albertawaterfallchasers.com/2017/03/02/bonus-waterfall-3-johnson-falls-palm-springs-ca/ ) we were ready to take on a final challenge on this vacation – Murray Canyon Falls, better known as Seven Sisters Falls. We debated a lot on this one, as it seemed like it’d be quite a hike.  It was to be about a kilometer through the desert, then over 2 kilometres winding through the canyon while encountering 16 creek crossings…then back again.  The kids…

Bonus Waterfall #3 – Johnson Falls (Palm Springs, CA)

Feb 1, 2017 – This one was actually an unexpected surprise.  After hiking in the desert the day before (see last post http://albertawaterfallchasers.com/2017/02/27/bonus-waterfall-2-west-fork-falls-palm-springs-ca/ ) we decided to take the Aerial Tram to get a bird’s eye view of Palm Springs. It’s located just west of town at 1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA.  It’s the world’s largest rotating tram and travels over 2 1/2 miles up the mountain.  Here’s a Google Earth overview… We made our way up, me pretending to puke every time…
